Patrick Vieira’s adventure as manager of Crystal Palace has come to an end. The ‘Águilas’ poor results after the World Cup hastened their dismissal.

A 12-game winless run (11 in the league and one in the cup) brought Palace to the brink. He went from having a nine-point lead in relegation to just three units above the Combustion.
Feelings also do not accompany. Palace are on a three-game losing streak and four matches without scoring. What’s more, he didn’t even shoot on goal against City, Villa and Liverpool. There is another significant figure: it is the team that has scored the fewest goals in matches (9) in the entire Premier League. The remaining 12 were set pieces.
Vieira, former coach of Nice and New York City, arrived at Selhust Park in 2021 and restarts with a balance of 22 wins, 24 draws and 28 defeats in 74 games.
“Patrick has made a huge impact since his arrival and deserves the utmost recognition. He guided us to the semi-final of the cup and led the team to a creditable 12th place last season, playing exciting football,” lamented Steve Parish.
