"The Masked Singer" Fans cheer the winner after the Fairy and Jackalope teaser

The Masked Singer Viewers have said they’d love to see one of the two new costumes unveiled Wednesday night finish as the winner of the show’s ninth season.

The Fox Singing Competition returned to screens in early 2023. Host Nick Cannon reprized his role alongside celebrity panelists Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Nicole Scherzinger.

So far The Masked Singer Season 9, stars such as Mary Poppins Actor Dick Van Dyke, singer/songwriter Sara Evans, musician Debbie Gibson and America’s Got Talent Judge Howie Mandel was unmasked as a candidate.

Costumes included a polar bear, California Rolls and a gargoyle. Now in episode five, the Jackalope and Fairy costumes join the cast. The pair will battle Squirrel, who went unmasked by winning last week’s episode.

The two new characters were teased by the Fox show’s official Instagram account and in a trailer for the March 15 episode Sesame Street– themed.

After the release of the trailer, many The Masked Singer Fans have already claimed that Fairy is the costume they want to see win the whole show, taking on the role of Season 8 winner Amber Riley.

After a very short clip of the costume singing was posted to the show’s official YouTube, fans flooded the comments section with praise for Fairy.

“The fairy costume is sooooo good hope she wins!” wrote one YouTuber, while another agreed, posting, “hope fairy wins. I love the costume and that part of her voice is amazing.”

“Now I definitely think fairy will win,” a third fan replied to the trailer, while another commented, “Fee seems to have an amazing voice.”

Naturally, The Masked Singer The winner of the season will only be revealed in the grand finale.

The season is ranked fifth out of nine Standard The Masked Singer Episodes, then there are the semi-finals and the final.

Thanks to the new “Ding Dong Keep It On Bell” twist, this season will also feature an extra episode before the semifinals.

The new format change allows celebrity panelists to ring a special bell three times in the first three rounds (which are spread across the first nine episodes).

These three rescued singers will then have the opportunity to compete against each other in a special episode to re-enter the competition.

So far, the Medusa and Gargoyle costumes have been saved by the bell.

While the identities of the famous faces behind Fairy and Jackalope’s masks are of course still under wraps, social media investigators have already made some guesses as to who they might be.

A teaser for the Fairy costume has been revealed The Masked Singer‘s official Instagram account ahead of the new episode.

The short clip, which shows the Fairy character in all his glory, was posted along with the caption “#FairyMask looks magical” and a sparkling and fairy emoji.

Social media users who follow The Masked Singer‘s account was quick to make their predictions, with many picking out the emojis as clues.

Several fans think the glitter emoji could be a reference to the singer, and recently it did Dancing with the stars Candidate, Jordin Sparks.

A teaser for Jackalope was also posted The Masked Singer‘s Instagram, although this one had a more cryptic clue than Fairy’s.

A video of the Jackalope dancing to music was uploaded with the caption: “She looks real to us guys!” and a white rabbit emoji. The jackalope is a mythical creature in folklore that has the body of a hare or rabbit and the horns of a stag.

Despite the cryptic caption that references the Jackalope’s mythical status, some of The Masked Singer Fans were still giving their guesses as to who might be behind the costume.

“Could that be Kira Kosarin?” asked a fan, pointing to the The Thundermans Actress. “Maybe Paula Abdul?” added another.
